Licensed Counselor

I graduated with honors from Saint Leo University with my Master's of Social Work (MSW). I was an intern within the BayCare Health System as a hospital social worker on the ICU, PCU, Med/Surg floors and the ED. I was also a therapy intern at a Baker Act receiving facility working on the pediatric unit.  

I received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of South Florida in the College of Public Health. Upon graduating from USF I worked with adults with developmental disabilities as a companion, supported living coach, and in-home specialist teaching ADL's and IADL's. I also complete annual CEU's and am currently working towards an Advanced Grief Specialist certification. 

I utilize interventions of various approaches to best meet my client's needs towards accomplishing their goals. These therapy approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Approach, Mindfulness Based Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and some Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I am also certified to provide premarital counseling which provides a certificate you present when purchasing your marriage license (and you get a discount). 

I believe counseling works best when you feel safe, heard, and genuinely understood. My style is warm, collaborative, and relational, and I strive to create a space where you can show up just as you are. I integrate evidence-based counseling approaches with a Christ-centered perspective, only when desired. Including faith is not forced or a requirement for therapy. I am happy to walk alongside you as you explore your story, build on your strengths, and move toward healing and growth at a pace that feels right for you. 

In my personal time I enjoy crafts, painting, pickleball, the beach, and going to the spa. I also love spending time with my husband and collaborating on new business adventures. When I get some down time you can find me hanging out with Kenidi, my kitty, or reading a new book with a warm chai tea.
